The territory of Stintin is a strip of land between two seas. The events you shouldn’t miss
One of the most important events is the 1983 Latin Sail Regatta , which takes place at the end of August and uses many traditional hulls, the last in Italy to have received these features of this type of armament go back to the early Middle Ages.
The procession to the patron saint festival of the Holy Virgin of Defense , which takes place in the Church of Stintino in early September, is very impressive. This is done to remember each year the crossing was made with the Virgin from Asinara to Stintino in 1885. Sports events are also organized during this week, especially for the little ones, theater and music performances and the traditional fish festival .

How to get there
By car: From Olbia Costa Smeralda Airport (146 km) you must first reach Sassari via the SS 131 and continue towards Porto Torres to get on the SP 57 ( Olbia – Stintino ) From the Riviera del Corallo airport in Alghero (67 km) you can reach Stintino via Porto Torres and on to Stintino (50 km | Alghero – Stintino ). For those who go on vacation without their own means, public or private services are available. The buses of the tour operator Arst are waiting near the arrivals , Deplano or Turmo to you.When booking, you can also choose private services such as rental with the driver or the shuttle bus.
Just one kilometer away, there is the Lazzaretto, coming from Alghero, the beach is immediately following that of the Bombarde. It is characterized by clear and fine sand, the seabed is low and sandy and is therefore ideal for children. On the tip just beyond the beach, the remains of the seventeenth-century lazaret from which it takes its name are still visible. A little further away, inside the bay of Porto Conte, the Mugoni beach , a totally sheltered oasis made of golden sand that plunges into the placid waters of an always calm and crystalline sea.
