Budoni – a pearl between Gallura and Barony
Choose between apartments and holiday homes in Budoni
Budoni is located just a few kilometers from San Teodoro in the north and from the medieval village of Posada in the south; like its neighbors, it is very famous for its beautiful beaches, its characteristic villages and for the events of great attraction. Easily accessible from Olbia in just 30 minutes by car or public bus.
A DYNAMIC HISTORY CENTRE AND BIG EVENTS: THE PERFECT FORMULA
The center of Budoni makes itself around the church of St. John the Baptist and the main street, which during the summer evenings, becomes a long walkway in which the desks and stalls of the craftsmen parade. The evening walk is really pleasant between shops, clubs, ice cream parlours and restaurants, inflatable playground for the little ones and outdoor fitness.
The long national road also houses the Museum of Stazzo and The Peasantculture, the Info Point (open late), the Pro Loco and the Municipal Theatre. Only the square in front of the theater is the place that hosts concerts of artists of great national calibre, shows and major events, a famous Holi Festival meeting of thousands of young and non-young people. In any case, the early and late summer parties and the “Manna Festival” at the end of August will be mentioned.
BEACHES TO LIVE
The beach preferred by families and young people is Budoni Bay with its 4 km long white and fine sand. Many services available, restaurants, sunbed service, umbrellas, inflatables, paid showers, water games rental. The last route, with the beach of Sant’Anna, the pond of the same name and the pine forest on the small headland, is the ideal place for lovers of fishing, diving and snorkeling. The medium-grained beach of Salamaghe opens the long Budoni Bay. From a naturalistic point of view, the area offers the opportunity to observe the bird species such as herons and flamingos living there, thanks to the large wetland behind it.
There is certainly a mention of smaller beaches such as Matt’e Peru, the surfer-loved porto Ainu bay, Li Cucutti and Li Cuppulati jewels, nestled between the Mediterranean bushland near the village of Agrustos. Fido Beach, dedicated to four-legged friends, is free and located in the small headland that separates Li Cuppulati beach and the first part of the Salamaghe entrance.
The mare bus accompanies guests to discover the most beautiful beaches and the surrounding villages.
Porto Ottiolu, home to the eponymous and historic marina, is perhaps budoni’s most famous village and is home to many tourists every summer attracted by the beautiful beach and the many services, including the evening market, in which many Shops and clubs that look at the port are always alive and full of shows for adults and children.
